Joining board of directors of R-Byte

Seagate CEO Alan F. Shugart has joined board of directors of R-Byte Inc. (San Jose, CA), a manufacturer of 4mm DAT/DDS tape drives.
“The addition of Mr. Shugart to our board of directors adds a significant dimension to both our tactical and strategic planning activities,” said Ian Turner, president and CEO, R-Byte. “As one of the leading pioneers of the mass storage industry, Mr. Shugart brings a wealth of insight and business management experience to R-Byte at a time when the DAT storage industry is emerging from its infancy.”
