The installation of Raidix-based storage solution has been completed in the National Archives of Estonia (NAE).

National Archives Of Estonia Trusts Raidix

The project was carried out by Network Tomorrow OÜ, an Estonian integrator and provider of IT solutions, in partnership with Raidix software developer.

The installation was finished during 1Q20 by the joint forces of technical specialists from the both companies. The system holds more than 1PB of reliable storage for the customer, whose archives include more than 10 million records, more than 20 million digital images, 9.5 million meters of movie recordings and other precious historic data.

The solution is managed by Raidix storage software. It was selected following the results of an open tender, conducted under the supervision of the Ministry of Education and Science of Estonia. All customer requirements and specifics of the archives were implemented due to the flexible functionality of the managing software and project design, based on the common hardware components.

This project is a great example of successful international cooperation. In partnership with Raidix, companies all around the world create solutions that win in the stiff market competitions,” comments Sergey Fedorov, VP international sales, Raidix.

Network Tomorrow joined Raidix partner program in 2019. The company specializes in integrated server solutions that are usually implemented together with the company’s international partners.

Portfolio of the company includes solutions for various industries, as well as for broadcasting and archival storage. The project for the National Archives of Estonia is the first collaboration between Network Tomorrow and Raidix software developer.

NAE collects and preserves records documenting the history, culture, nationhood and social conditions in Estonia independent of the time or place of creation, or character of data medium. It manages collection, preservation and access departments in Tallinn and in Tartu, regional departments in Rakvere and in Valga, as well as the film and digital archives.
