Druva Surpasses 5 Million Daily Backups

Managing 150PB across 15 AWS regions

Druva, Inc. announced its Cloud Platform surpassed 5 million daily backups, reflecting the expanding scale and customer base of the industry cloud platform.

Additionally, the company is managing more than 150PB across 15 AWS regions, highlighting the ability of more than 4,000 customers to restore data and maintain BC with Druva’s platform.

As businesses seek to support an increasingly remote workforce, the expansion of endpoints and cloud-based collaboration tools like Office365 must be met with data protection to safeguard vs. an increasing number of malicious actors and ransomware attacks.

Companies are also being forced to re-evaluate BC plans. Cloud’s ability to deliver air-gapped data protection and improved business resiliency while minimizing supply chain impacts make it for minimizing the overall impact of sudden events and unforeseen disasters.

Recognizing the need for additional support as businesses navigate current challenges, the company, along with partners, is offering free endpoint and Office 365 protection services for six months to help businesses stay resilient, protected, and compliant – while allowing employees to safely work remotely for as long as necessary. With no future obligation required and the ability to deploy in 15 minutes, organizations can rest assured remote employee data is safeguarded from internal and external threats.

This offer includes:

  • Office 365 protection: 6 months of free service for up to 300 employees with 15GB source data limit per user
  • Endpoint protection: 6 months of free service for up to 300 employees with 50GB source data limit per user

This World Backup Day, we’re all learning to deal with this new frontier together but there are some things IT teams can do to ensure they remain protected,” said Matt Lindeman, chief customer officer. “Cloud offers the consistency and capabilities to instant-proof businesses vs. the next, unforeseen challenge. With no dependency on global supply chains and the ability to access services from anywhere, it is the ultimate contingency plan. Our customers are leveraging Druva’s unique architecture to meet their ever changing business needs, from global events to regional compliance laws, and we will continue supporting them for whatever comes next.

Since Druva is 100% built in the cloud, it has no dependency on hardware or onsite IT staff, can instantly scale based on a customer’s changing needs, and is able to offer robust ransomware protection via a secure, immutable backup and recovery with data isolation. Additionally, with intelligent tiering capabilities of S3 Storage Classes, users can store data long-term while maintaining the data’s potential for value-added data services including legal hold, e-Discovery and proactive compliance.

Druva platform has also received a number of accolades in recent months, including eight customer service awards at the 2020 Stevie Awards and a leading certified 86 NPS score. Additionally, it was recently named a Gartner Peer Insights Customers’ Choice Selection and was included in the March 2020 Gartner Peer Insights Voice of the Customer: Data Center Backup and Recovery Solutions report for having an overall product rating of 4.6/5 based on reviews submitted via Gartner Peer Insights. In November 2019, Druva received the highest overall rating (4.9/5) in Gartner Peer Insights’ Voice of the Customer: DR as a Service report.
