History (1991): Singapore HDD Land
Producing about half of WW disk drives

This amounts to about half of the WW HDD production.
The sales of these drives account for more than 7.5%t of the country’s total exports in 1990.
These units are mostly sent to USA, East Asia and to Europe.
Among the Singapore manufacturers there are Conner Peripherals, Integral Peripherals, Maxtor/MiniScribe, Micropolis, Seagate and Rodime.
