34th Edition of The IT Press Tour Back in Israel

Seven companies visited in March: Ctera Networks, Deep Instinct, Infinidat, Kaminario, Lightbits Labs, OwnBackup and Weebit

The IT Press Tour (ITPT), a media event launched in June 2010, announced participating companies for the 34th edition scheduled the week of March 22 in Israel.

Seven companies will participate to this new edition: CTera Networks, Deep Instinct, Infinidat, Kaminario, Lightbits Labs, OwnBackup and Weebit.

“We’re glad to come back in Israel, past editions we organized there were just fantastic with a great energy. We have met people with radical new ideas and innovations to solve IT challenges. We really hope, and we’re certain, to reach this level of meeting with the coming visit. We’ll meet again some companies familiar with the group but also a few new ones. It will be the right opportunity to understand new technology directions about SDS, data management, memory, cloud Integration and security,” said Philippe Nicolas, creator of ITPT.

“We also continue to beat records: 11800+ articles, 228 companies*, 356 sessions and 700+ CxO met after 33 editions, confirming we’ll pass 12,000 articles following the next 34th edition.” continued Philippe Nicolas.

Quotes from some participating companies:

  • Liran Eshel, CEO, CTera Networks
“We are looking forward to once again hosting Philippe and the ITPT at our headquarters. The ITPT represents an ideal forum for Ctera to share our vision for the modern global file system in the midst of a rapidly evolving enterprise storage market.”
  • Guy Caspi, CEO and co-founder, Deep Instinct
“Traditional cybersecurity is broken. Current solutions based on ‘assume breach’ are simply insufficient for the highly sophisticated attack landscape facing businesses today. Deep Instinct takes an entirely new approach, preventing attacks before they are executed, with a patented deep learning platform trained to identify and prevent first-seen, sophisticated and advanced cyber threats. With our deep neural network algorithms, which mimic how a human brain thinks, threats are prevented anywhere within the enterprise from any type of file-based or file-less cyber attacks in zero-time, with unmatched accuracy and speed. The difference is that instead of doing damage control, we prevent the damage in the first place. Therefore ITPT represents a good opportunity to discuss with European press and share our vision and demonstrate our products and technologies’ capabilities.”

  • Dan Shprung, Executive Vice President, EMEA, Infinidat
“With the increased focus on time to market, enterprises are demanding agility and pay as you grow models within their data infrastructure to enable cloud-like experiences on-premises. At the same time, the ever-growing dilemma that is still impacting organisations’ competitive advantage in the digital economy is how to store data without compromising on reliability, performance and cost. Infinidat continues to resolve these enterprise pain points, thus growing from strength to strength in the marketplace. We are really pleased to continue our partnership with ITPT. Thanks to Philippe, we are given an excellent platform of key European journalists to relay our strategic and tactical vision – We have solidified our position as an innovative data storage disruptor in the marketplace with our revolutionary software-focused architecture.”

  • Dani Golan, CEO, Kaminario
“Kaminario’s cloud data platform makes moving to the cloud lightning fast, enabling companies to migrate their critical apps to the cloud without the pain of re-engineering them first. We are looking forward to sharing milestones and key updates on our latest strategy with Europe’s highly influential journalists.”

  • Eran Kirzner, CEO, Lightbits Labs
“Lightbits Labs, the leader in NVMe/TCP software-defined storage, is excited to welcome ITPT to Israel to discuss today’s storage trends and share how we are solving the most complex computing challenges their readers face. For the vast majority of large companies – the very audiences served by the journalists participating in the ITPT – storage needs are far outpacing compute requirements. We’ll be sharing our innovative Lightbits Labs solutions that make hyperscale flexibility and efficiencies available to everyone.”

  • Coby Hanoch, CEO, Weebit
“AIe and big data is driving demand for larger and more efficient memory storage devices. As existing flash memory struggles to cater to this demand, there is a significant opportunity for emerging technologies such as ReRAM to gain a more substantial share of the market. ITPT provides an excellent opportunity for Weebit to showcase our silicon oxide ReRAM technology to respected industry journalists from North America and Europe. We’re looking forward to sharing our progress in the embedded and discrete markets at this year’s event.”
