History (1991): Conner Peripherals Europe Opening HDD Plant in Italy
Will employ 300 workers and replace 3-year old plant in Ivrea.
By Jean Jacques Maleval | February 17, 2020 at 2:21 pmConner Peripherals Europe (CPE), a joint venture between Conner Peripherals, Inc (51%) and Ing. C. Olivetti & Co. SpA (49%), has opened a new 3 .5-inch disk drive plant in Aosta Valley, in the Northern part of Italy.
The 88,000-square-foot factory will employ 300 workers and will replace the joint venture’s 3-year old plant in Ivrea.
Last year, CPE manufactured around 200,000 drives valued at $60 million.
Conner Peripherals is considering another factory in Japan for next year.
