Seven Bridges Genomics Assigned Patent
Hashing data-processing steps in workflow environments
By Francis Pelletier | February 13, 2020 at 2:15 pmSeven Bridges Genomics, Inc., Cambridge, MA, has been assigned a patent (10,545,792) developed by Li, Yilong, Cambridge, MA, for “hashing data-processing steps in workflow environments.“
The abstract of the patent published by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office states: ”Systems and methods for data storage and retrieval for a computer memory include processing a computational workflow having multiple data-processing steps, generating and storing a first hash value associated with a first step of the data-processing steps based on an input to the first step, generating and storing a second hash value associated with a second step of the data-processing steps based on the generated first hash value, and reconstructing a computational state of the workflow based on the second hash value, and thereby avoid re-execution of a portion of the workflow corresponding to the second hash value.”
The patent application was filed on September 8, 2017 (15/699,305).
