Wasabi and Quest Software in Partnership

Wasabi Technologies, Inc. announced a partnership with Quest Software, Inc. to leverage cost-effective cloud storage directly through the Quest QoreStor user interface.

The World Economic Forum predicts that the accumulated digital universe will reach 44ZB in the coming year, representing a staggering 10x jump from 2019.

The partnership gives customers the ability to backup to cloud object storage and reduce the uncertainty of cloud recovery costs while delivering breakthrough economics and performance.

Wasabi provides a universal cloud object storage service that eliminates confusing storage tiers and satisfies nearly all storage performance requirements all at a lower price and faster speed than traditional storage services and with no costs for the egress of data or API requests.

Its single tier of hot storage allows for all data to be accessed in an instant, creating an active archive of data. With Wasabi, storage bills never fluctuate with data retrieval volumes. The combination of low cost storage and the recovery technology built into QoreStor speeds the recovery of cloud-stored data so businesses can get their systems back up and running faster, and for less cost.

Once Wasabi is enabled as a cloud tier option directly in the QoreStor user interface, backups become faster, shorter and easier. Customers can deduplicate data, and compress and encrypt data using QoreStor before sending the data to Wasabi’s storage user interface. Additionally, customers can reduce OpEx by optimizing cloud storage and paying as they grow, storing nearly any amount of data including data for applications without an object interface, like Oracle RMAN.
