CES: SecureData Unveils Portable SecureDrive Duo for Protecting Private and Confidential Data On-the-Go

At the CES, SecureData, Inc. has debuted a data security solution store for protecting private and confidential data on-the-go.

One of them is a portable external hardware-encrypted drive, the SecureDrive Duo. This drive offers two secure methods of OS/host independent user-authentication – PIN-authentication with a built-in alphanumeric keypad and wireless authentication by using a smartphone with paired app.

“We are thrilled to be exhibiting at CES again this year. We will be showcasing our newest security solution, the SecureDrive Duo to the public for the first time. SecureDrive Duo brings together the best of both authentication methods offering more flexibility and additional layers of security to our customers,” said Mike Vanoverbeke, senior product specialist, SecureData.

The company’s FIPS 140-2 Level 3 certified hardware encrypted storage devices (flash and HDD/SSD) with either keypad or secure wireless user-authentication are used by many industries. The secure wireless ‘BT’ line of drives offers various security layers such as remote management. These devices offer data protection to current customers in areas like healthcare and federal agencies, allowing them to build security defenses to better meet their compliance needs. The SecureDrive Duo combines all of these features into one solution for data protection, secure device management, and an ease–of-use that is required by customers in the field.
