History (1990): Notebook Computers Equipped With 2.5-Inch HDDs

Here is a list of companies that are or soon will offer notebook computers with 2.5-inch HDDs, usually with 20MB of capacity and average access times ranging from 23 to 28ms.

This list is probably not complete but shows how wide the otter is.

Sometimes the same unit is offered by several companies under a different name. In the column on the right, we indicate the name of the manufacturer that most likely furnished the HDD.
