Cloudera Data Platform Data Center with IBM is a data management and analytics platform for on-premises IT environments.

It delivers an integrated suite of analytic engines spanning streams processing, batch data processing, data warehousing, operational database, and ML in support of a diverse set of use cases.

With Cloudera Data Platform Data Center as its foundation, the platform with IBM builds on its unified open source, multi-function analytics and data management system. It combines capabilities of Cloudera Enterprise Data Hub and Hortonworks Data Platform Enterprise Plus, blends current open source data management and analytics technologies, integrated to work together, and is optimized for deployment within the data center.

The platform is an on-premises offering that can help organization realize an enterprise data strategy for achieving competitive advantage through data-driven insights.

Cloudera Data Platform Data Center with IBM
can be a foundational element of hybrid and multicloud deployment architectures, enabling:

  • A holistic view of data and metadata
  • A platform overview from a single pane of glass, the Cloudera Data Platform Management Console
  • A common data catalog across all of your deployments worldwide in various data centers and clouds
  • Synchronization of data sets and metadata policies between infrastructures as needed
  • Bursting of on-premises workloads into the cloud when more capacity is needed
  • Analysis and optimization of workloads through the use of Workload Manager, regardless of where the workloads run

New in version 7.0
Version 7.0 of Cloudera Data Platform Data Center with IBM
brings the following improvements to Cloudera Enterprise Data Hub
and Hortonworks Data Platform Enterprise Plus:

  • Technology enhances data management processes, enabling innovation of data analytics core with Cloudera Runtime, the new integrated open source distribution, and Cloudera Manager for security, governance, and control of edge-to-AI workloads.
  • Improved security helps teams achieve new levels of security with authentication and authorization capabilities that span attribute-based access control (ABAC), dynamic masking, and fine-grained access.
  • Resource contention can be alleviated with capability to add new applications and empower new teams easily with Virtual Private Clusters that decouple compute from storage to improve isolation and boost multi-tenancy.
