History (1990): G. Yean Industrials Guilty of Counterfeiting 3M Disks

The company was fined $16,864 and assessed damages of $11,265.
The finding was made by the Shenzhen Administration for Industry and Commerce and was reported by China Patent Agent (H.K.) Ltd.
It’s the first time a Chinese company has been punished for counterfeiting a trademark of the US-based company, but several other cases are pending.
