Addvalue and Cloud Constellation in Partnership

To support SpaceBelt satellite constellation development

Addvalue Innovation Pte Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of SGX Mainboard-listed Addvalue Technologies, and Cloud Constellation Corporation announced a partnership focused on development of satellite products and services in support of Cloud Constellation’s SpaceBelt Data Security as a Service (DSaaS) cloud services.

Pursuant to a cooperation agreement signed at the International Astronautical Congress (IAC 2019) in Washington D.C., Addvalue will lend its satellite communications expertise to the development and manufacture of SpaceBelt satellite communications terminal, as well as supporting design activities related to Cloud Constellation’s inter-satellite communication protocols and a space-resilient, software-defined, embedded hardware solution capable of supporting edge computing for AI and blockchain applications.

Cloud Constellation offers a cloud infrastructure and storage service, based entirely in space. The company’s patented SpaceBelt architecture utilizes GEO partner’s satellites to securely transfer data between the customer’s enterprise location(s) and the SpaceBelt LEO network. This provides a strong data security by offering isolation from the terrestrial infrastructure of an enterprise or government organization’s high value, highly sensitive, mission-critical data assets.

Addvalue is equipped to provide Cloud Constellation with the satellite communications expertise required to enable direct and secure transfer of data stored on the SpaceBelt constellation, given the company’s recent success in its own Inter-satellite Data Relay System (IDRS) that  offers LEO satellite operators an on-demand real time connection to their satellite constellations.

This is exactly the type of next-gen LEO satellite communication technology that Cloud Constellation will need to ensure SpaceBelt’s success; and so, it is with great excitement that we announce the collaboration between our companies,” said Cliff Beek, Cloud Constellation’s CEO.

Announcement is but the first step in the partnership between the companies.

Dr Colin Chan, Addvalue’s CEO, commented: “We could not be happier about joining the group of industry leaders selected by Cloud Constellation to participate in the development and launch of their SpaceBelt Constellation and DSaaS cloud services. We hope that this new partnership, which begins with engineering services, will continue for years to come in the form of a design, manufacturing and distribution partnership for the SpaceBelt services.
