Altaro VM Backup for MSPs

MSPs can backup customers’ physical servers in addition to their VMs with the functionality in VM Backup for MSPs, being launched by Altaro Software Ltd.

Several organisations with virtual environments still have one or more physical servers that have not been virtualized, which require data protection. With the VM Backup for MSPs, MSPs can backup their customers’ physical Windows servers and restore them to a virtual environment (as a virtual disk or a VM running on a Hyper-V hypervisor).

MSPs can manage customer physical server backups from the same multi-tenant Cloud Management Console as their VM backups.

Billing and reporting are also integrated into the console. MSPs also benefit from priority 24/7 support as part of the package.

It also gives the firm’s MSPs a wider services portfolio and a revenue stream.

Additional functionality:
The latest version gives MSPs several cloud storage options to offer their customers, namely: Microsoft Azure, Amazon S3 and Wasabi, with native integration between them and Altaro VM Backup. It securely handles data transfers, without requiring any additional resources running in the cloud to provide backup storage.
