iomart Enhanced Data Protection With Dell

iomart Group Plc has enhanced its data protection backup portfolio with the addition of a powerful solution from Dell Technologies, Inc.

The capabilities offered by Dell’s PowerProtect DD Series Appliances will provide iomart customers with improved data protection, scalability, and simplicity of management for multi-cloud workloads.

As a Dell Platinum partner that manages petabytes of backup for customers, iomart was invited to beta test PowerProtect DD before adding it to its already Backup as a Service (BaaS) portfolio.

Richard McMahon, group technical operations director, said: “As organisations continue to struggle with the growing amount of data they need to manage and protect, we can offer the most efficient, scalable and cost-effective enterprise backup for all workloads whether they are on premise or in hybrid or public cloud environments.“

The PowerProtect DD Series Appliances were announced by Beth Phalen, president of Dell EMC’s data protection division, at Dell Tech Forum and are the next gen of their data domain protection storage appliance.
