Dropbox Integration for ProMAX Platform Shared Storage Systems
Gives remote video editors simple way to upload and retrieve files.
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on September 19, 2019 at 2:12 pmProMAX Systems, Inc., in integrated workflow technology for creative media organizations, announces Dropbox, Inc.‘s integration for its platform shared storage systems.
The integration makes sharing files with remote editors a quick and easy process. Dropbox enabled platform spaces give video teams the ability to share files from a remote location through a platform space on their company’s local ProMAX Platform server.
To make this work, users create a platform space on their server and connect it with a Dropbox Team folder. Once the connection is up and running editors can drag and drop files directly into the platform or into the Dropbox folder, the files will then be able for access on both the Dropbox folder and the platform space, giving local and remote users the ability to upload and retrieve files.
“Once Dropbox was released, I immediately set up a Platform Space so I could send files between my house and the office,” said Matt Mister, marketing manager, ProMAX. “I used to carry my files around on an external drive, but now I can just throw them in my Dropbox folder and pick up where I left off as long as I have my laptop and an internet connection. It’s been super helpful for speeding up our video creation process.“
Setting up a Dropbox enabled platform space is simple and can be done using a self-help guide from the ProMAX knowledge base on their website.
This integration is available for all ProMAX Platform users on v5.5 or higher.
A Dropbox team account is required for connecting multiple users.
