The abstract of the patent published by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office states: ”A solid state drive, (SSD) storage bay includes storage trays and connector cards. A storage tray has a an interposer and an SSD module. A connector of the interposer is connected to a connector of the SSD module, and another connector of the interposer is connected to a connector of a connector card. The connector card includes terminals that connect to a bus of a computer system. The interposer includes wirings that allow electrical signals to propagate between the two connectors of the interposer. The interposer includes circuitry that allow for voltage regulation of supply voltage, level shifting, and hot-swapping.”
