History (1989): Miniscribe President Resigns

Firm's financial statements not reliable.

Many changes at the head of HDD manufacturer Miniscribe Corp. (Longmont, CO), after that an independent evaluation committee, created at the request of the shareholders, found out that the firm’s financial statements for the first three quarters of 1988 and FY87 and FY86 were not reliable.

Gerald W. Goodman, president, leaves the company, just like Owen D. Taranta, VP, and Bill Lorea, CFO. Kelly T. Hickel, SVP of business planning, will replace Goodman as president. Richard P. Rifenburgh remains chairman and CEO. Richard Brantmeyer has been promoted SVP.
