Lite-On Technology Corporation, Taipei, Taiwan, has been assigned a patent (10,319,428) developed by Zeng, Shih-Jia, Fu, Jen-Chien, Lu, Tsu-Han, and Chen, Kuan-Chun, Taipei, Taiwan, for a “control method of solid state storage device.“

The abstract of the patent published by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office states: ”A control method of a solid state storage device includes the following steps. Firstly, a block of a memory cell array is checked. Then, a judging step is performed to judge whether a data storage time period of the block exceeds a threshold period.
