Cohesity Joining AWS Public Sector Partner Program

Cohesity, Inc. announced that its software-defined data management platform supports AWS GovCloud (US), providing government agencies with a modern approach to backup, manage, and gain insights from their data across hybrid cloud environments.

Through this integration, Cohesity is providing a solution that offers AWS customers data management capabilities for secured government clouds that include backup and recovery, long-term retention, analytics, and protection of Amazon EC2 compute infrastructure, all on a single web-scale platform.

In addition, the firm has become a member of the AWS Public Sector Partner Program by demonstrating technical proficiency and customer success so that the two companies can better deliver integrated solutions on behalf of government clients.

Cohesity Helps Government Organizations Address Mass Data Fragmentation
Cohesity DataPlatform provides backup, enhanced security, and ransomware detection. Government agencies can extend the software-defined platform they use for on-premises workloads to manage and protect AWS GovCloud, enabling a new range of hybrid and cloud-native use cases for data.

Many public sector organizations – particularly federal agencies – use GovCloud to take advantage of secure cloud infrastructure while maintaining compliance with numerous mandates around sensitive datasets and workloads.

Cohesity empowers these customers to also solve the challenge of mass data fragmentation, where massive volumes of data are spread across fragmented infrastructure silos and clouds that can be hard to backup, manage, and analyze. It consolidates these silos on a single platform spanning data center, cloud, and edge environments, ushering in a new era in data management that unlocks opportunities to make data more productive.

New Partnership With AWS Drives Greater Collaboration
By becoming a member of the AWS Public Sector Partner Program, Cohesity is providing a streamlined path for more government customers to take advantage of its simple data management capabilities. As an AWS technology partner, it met collaboration requirements to better serve joint customers. This includes testing of joint solutions and making them available on AWS, as well as deeper collaborations between AWS and Cohesity public sector teams with the goal to deliver the best customer experience.

Cohesity and Amazon’s public sector partnership builds on the two companies’ long-term collaboration, which has introduced many solutions and created a growing list of joint customers.
