Cloud Expo Asia: Sangfor Demos of Cloud Data Protection

At Cloud Expo Asia, Hong Kong, Sangfor Technologies, Inc.‘s cloud data protection capabilities were a highlight at the expo.

DR has often been criticized for being costly, technical and complicated to operate and manage. The company has developed its enterprise cloud solution, aCloud, based on their HCI to provide multi-copy storage, automatic backup and CDP technology to deploy a cost-effective, and reliable DR solution.

In a partnership with DCL Communications Ltd., the company demonstrated their DR capabilities between the the firm’s booth and the DCL booth. Server power was turned off at the company’s booth to simulate a production site going down during disaster, and aCloud servers at DCL booth simulating a DR site restored the ‘downed’ VMs in 3 minutes. The aCloud solution is designed to provide customers with a range of RPO choices ranging from as minimum as one second.
