Spencer Kupferman CEO and Board Member, Cloud Daddy

Cloud Daddy, Inc., creator of Cloud Daddy Secure Backup (CDSB), a secure Amazon Web Services-native data protection solution, appointed former Global Software, Inc.’s president and CEO, Spencer Kupferman, as CEO and board member.

He comes with experience and success in the software and technology industry. Before joining Cloud Daddy, he served as president and CEO of Global Software, Inc. (now named insightsoftware), in ERP and enterprise performance management reporting solutions.

He spearheaded the revolution of the Spreadsheet Server platform as it took the market by storm. His parallel track of customer and employee-centric philosophy and unwavering commitment to innovation and results led him to realign the company’s strategy and transform Global Software, Inc. into a leader. He led the company through two successful nine-figure Exits to market leading Private Equity firms, Thompson Street Capital Partners and TA Associates (2016 and 2018 respectively).

He also held other executive positions over his 22 years at Global Software, Inc. including, EVP, corporate affairs, CSO and director of marketing.

He also serves as an executive advisor for Thompson Street Capital Partners portfolio companies working closely with their tech-enabled software practice and mentoring CEO’s and other senior management executives who are entering their first Private Equity experience.

He currently serves as a member of the board of directors for TSCP portfolio company, Ithaca, NY-based Palisade company, LLC, the author of the @Risk Decision Analysis platform.

He holds a Master of Business Administration degree in Technology Management from the University of Phoenix ’03 and a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from the University of New Hampshire ’96 where he was a member of the men’s basketball team. In 2003, he was a State of North Carolina nominee for American Marshall Memorial Fellowship, one of the highest honors bestowed to an American citizen.
