The Disk Pack from IEF (Issy-les-Moulineaux, France) is a two-slot base where one or two removable HDDs can be inserted or withdrawn.

This device, developed and manufactured by the French firm, measures 165x246x145mm and can sustain 21MB from Rodime, or 42, 84 or 125MB drives from Quantum with a 64KB disk cache allowing a 12ms average access time. IEF will soon offer a 170MB drive, also from Quantum.

The Disk Pack has an SCSI interface with a compatible Macintosh connector. IEF sold 300 of these Disk Packs and just booked an order for 1 ,000 units from Megadrive, its American vendor.

Each two-slot base cost 4,950FF. A 21MB drive costs 4,950FF, a 42MB unit 8,450FF and a 84MB one 9,900FF.

An interface card allows connection to PC Xl, AT and compatibles, and another one for IBM PS/2s.
