IBM Elastic Storage Server, the scalable high-performance data and file management solution, continues to improve with expanded support of non disruptive MES model upgrades, improved networking, and enhanced data security.
Elastic Storage Server offers the following benefits:
- Upgrade path with the addition of one 4U106 enclosure, disks, and IBM Spectrum Scale licenses for the following:
- GL1C to GL2C
- GL2C to GL4C
- GL4C to GL5C
- Increased networking performance with 100GB RDMA over Converged Ethernet (RoCE) support, initial availability through RPQ
- Protection against single drawer failures with new GL5C and GL5S models (8+2P erasure encoding)
