Proactive Support for storage systems, provided by support specialists, is designed to deliver an integrated approach to proactive, coordinated support for multiproduct and multivendor IT environments while maximizing IT infrastructure availability.

It provides cost-effective support across all company’s hardware and system software, helping maximize the return on IT investment.

When you choose it, support specialists monitor and support your IT infrastructure.

The support specialists:

Respond quickly to critical threats and situations using proprietary analysis tools
Act as a remote extension of your IT staff
Help to improve your system availability, productivity, and recoverability

Enterprise Support Options/Technical Advisor (ESO/TA) is an optional add-on to Proactive Support. Technical Advisor (TA) is a client-care managed support service that is included for a limited time on select storage products. ESO/TA is used to keep the TA in effect past TA expiration on storage devices that include TA with purchase, or to add TA at any time on devices that do not include TA with purchase. Proactive Storage is a direct technical support enhancement that complements TA when both are in effect on a device. The Proactive TA (when proactive is added to TA included with device purchase) or Proactive ESO/TA combination provides the highest level of support available for IBM storage products.
