This external SSD offers performance, delivering sequential read and write speeds of up to 440MB/s, which is some 4X the performance of external mechanical HDDs.
The SD600Q features 3D NAND flash memory to provide its performance and reliability. It also features a military-grade shock resistant enclosure, yet still provides heat dissipation, power efficiency and silent operation.
The company will be offering the it in capacities of 240, 480 and 960GB. Its performance allows users to download a 5GB full HD movie in under 30s. It is compatible with Windows, Mac OS and Android (no drivers required), and is hot-plug capable. The SD600Q offers out-of-the-box plug-and-play functionality for use with notebooks/laptops, tablets, gaming consoles and smartphones.
The SD600Q weighs 60g, and is built in a palm-sized form factor that slips in and out of a pocket or bag. Its anti-shock silicone enclosure can withstand falls of up to 1.22m, and meets the US Military MIL-STD-810G spec standard.
Users have their choice of three color options – Red, Blue or Black.
All are backed by a 3-year limited warranty.
