HPE: Fiscal 1Q19 Financial Results
Storage revenue up 3% Y/Y supposed to mark seventh consecutive quarter of growth

Hewlett Packard Enterprise announced financial results for its fiscal 2019 first quarter, ended January 31, 2019.
Compute revenue grew 3% and high-margin Value Compute portfolio grew approximately 20% driven by strength in high-performance compute, hyper-converged and composable.
Storage revenue was up 3% at $975 million – historical record -, which marks the seventh consecutive quarter of growth according to the company, with particular strength in AFAs, which grew 20% Y/Y driven by Nimble. It means that all other storage businesses decreased, including 3par.
Hyper-converged portfolio which includes Synergy and SimpliVity, offerings was up 70%.
Looking forward, the company expects storage revenue to ramp targeting $1 billion per quarter.

Several times for the former quarters, HPE then announced storage revenue slightly different than before for unknown reasons, especially during FY18. Consequently the assessment of the company that storage marks the seventh consecutive quarter of growth in 1FQ19 is not confirmed by this table.
