ECS Joining AWS in Launch of Amazon FSx

For Windows file server

ECS, a provider of technology, science, and engineering solutions, and a consulting partner in the AWS Partner Network (APN), announced that it is a launch partner of the new file-sharing system Amazon FSx for Windows File Server.

An automatically scaled and fully managed file system, FSx has native compatibility supporting the features, performance, and security capabilities most used by commercial and public sector customers. The system automates time-consuming administration tasks such as hardware provisioning, software configuration, patching, and backups.

FSx supports Windows-based storage, HPC, machine learning, and electronic design automation. The system is cost-optimized for specific workloads, enhancing flexibility and allowing organizations to respond to changing business needs. AWS integrations make FSx useful for a broader set of workloads.

As a leading provider of AWS capabilities and solutions, ECS is excited to be an Amazon FSx launch partner,” said John Sankovich, VP of cloud solutions, ECS. “The partnership allows us to offer our customers the benefit of a simple and fully managed platform for all of their file storage needs.

Through its Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE), ECS provides expert cloud consulting, managed services, and direct resale access to the cloud service providers. The CCoE uses best practices and frameworks to provide customers with certified architects, optimized scalable solutions, and compliance with all security standards and requirements in its delivery of FSx.
