Tintri by DDN: 300% Q/Q Revenue Growth in 4Q18

Entered bankruptcy in July 2018 and then acquired by DDN.

Tintri by DDN, in VM-integrated storage systems, announced record growth following the acquisition by DataDirect Networks, Inc. (DDN).

Preliminary 4Q18 results indicate that the Tintri sales team has delivered almost 300% growth in its first quarter as a new operating division of the data-at-scale powerhouse, DDN Storage. This expansion is expected to continue as the company gears up to deliver new platforms and differentiating features.

We are pleased to report that DDN’s entry into the enterprise virtualization market is showing early signs of stellar success following the acquisition of Tintri, a market leader in VM AI, storage virtualization and DevOps. Customer acceptance in 4Q18 has exceeded our wildest expectations, and many new customers are rapidly joining the ranks of existing ones,” said Alex Bouzari, co-founder and CEO, DDN. “The Tintri product portfolio is extremely compelling, and Tintri by DDN’s field technical and support team is delivering superb levels of customer service. We are looking forward to significant growth in 2019, and we are grateful for our customers’ trust and for the passion and dedication of the entire Tintri by DDN team.”

Tintri by DDN invested heavily in late 2018 to establish new levels of support, customer experience and engineering capabilities. With a new, talented workforce across all engineering teams, Tintri has developed a roadmap that builds on the Tintri pedigree of simplicity, visibility and easy insight. With Tintri sales demonstrating momentum heading into 2019, the organization will shift its focus from ensuring stability to supporting an expansion phase that will include delivery of an advanced set of features code-named Mystic.

Our fourth quarter was an exciting end to the year, and the sales growth was greater than any quarter I saw during my four previous years at Tintri. Tintri by DDN’s performance this quarter validates the unique value that Tintri technologies and comprehensive VM management platform offer the broader IT market. The tremendous growth illustrates what our world-class sales, engineering, partner ecosystem, and support teams can deliver when properly focused,” said Phil Trickovic, Tintri by DDN’s president of worldwide sales. “Furthermore, the year ahead looks bright. We will be introducing several new game-changing enhancements to our portfolio that will raise the bar for AI and machine learning, plus unveiling project Mystic – our soon to be released analytics and predictive performance/capacity planning capability. With Tintri by DDN solutions, planning and managing VM performance, growth and spend has never been easier or more accurate. It’s going to be an exciting 2019 for Tintri by DDN’s customers and partners.”
