IBM Storage Networking SAN192C-6 director-class SAN switch delivers enterprise cloud support in small to medium-sized storage networks

IBM Storage Networking SAN192C-6 addresses the requirements of small and medium-sized virtualized data center storage environments. It delivers availability, security, scalability, ease of management, and transparent integration of new technologies for flexible data center SAN solutions. It shares the same OS and management interface with other IBM Storage Networking c-type data center switches and directors, enabling to transparently deploy unified fabrics with FC connectivity for low TCO.

SAN192C-6 director has been designed to deliver:

    enterprise availability
  • Business transformation with enterprise cloud deployment
  • Solution for robust security

Key prerequisites

  • SAN192C-6 supports FC connectivity. Model 8978-E04 supports all features and functions listed, and requires NX-OS software release 8.1(b), or later.
  • NX-OS software release 8.1(b) is required for FICON support.
