IBM Master Data Management on Cloud Managed helps retain BC with new DR solution

Master Data Management on Cloud Managed provides master data management solutions on the IBM Cloud platform on a monthly subscription basis.

It offers the rich features of an on-premises deployment without the cost, complexity, and risk of managing your own infrastructure.

IBM Master Data Management on Cloud Managed offers a new DR option that expands the existing managed master data management architecture from a single data center HA design to a dual data center HA and DR design.

This DR capability can improve BC for organizations that use master data management for critical business operations. The DR option improves the standard RTO and RPO of the Master Data Management on Cloud Managed offering from days to hours.

The RTO is less than four hours and RPO is less than one hour.

With the DR option, critical components, such as the Identity Management System (IDM), Db2, and master data management server clusters, are duplicated and synchronized across both data centers.

Other components, such as IBM Information Server and IBM Business Process Manager, leverage shared cross-data-center resources or synchronize their HA failover components to the second data center.

In total, this option provides a second passive instance of the master data management environment that is kept in sync with the primary active instance.
