Cathy Southwick CIO, Pure Storage

Pure Storage, Inc. appointed Cathleen “Cathy” Southwick as CIO.

In her new role, she will lead global IT and be responsible for advancing the company’s operations through delivery of next-generation technology capabilities and systems that align with Pure’s strategy.

“Cathy is an accomplished leader with experience defining and executing forward-looking IT strategies. This background closely aligns to Pure’s core tenets of innovation and growth,” said Charles Giancarlo, chairman and CEO. “She is an outstanding addition to the team and we’re thrilled to have her lead our innovation agenda across the business.”

Southwick joins after 21 years of service at AT&T, where she was VP of technology engineering and provided IT leadership, led global network transformations and developed and executed a cloud IaaS strategy.
