Nexenta Certified for Red Hat OpenStack Platform

Nexenta Systems Inc., in Open Source-driven Software-Defined Storage (OpenSDS), announced that they have further collaborated with Red Hat, Inc. to support enterprise organizations’ shift to the cloud through certification on Red Hat OpenStack Platform 13.

This certification on Red Hat’s long-life release illustrates Nexenta’s support for customers building clouds based on Red Hat’s scalable Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) offering.

By leveraging Nexenta’s enterprise-grade unified file and block storage solution, NexentaStor, enterprises and OpenStack-based 5G Telcos can provide greater scalability, greater elasticity, and increased efficiency in today’s data center.

Nexenta delivers a complete storage stack that provides the performance, flexibility, and enhanced security often required by Red Hat OpenStack Platform implementations. The open source drivers for Nexenta products are part of the OpenStack integration testing framework, which validates Nexenta’s drivers on a continuous basis.

With announcement Nexenta’s storage software provides enterprises using Red Hat OpenStack Platform with Cinder and Manila operations including:

  • Create a volume from a snapshot

  • Create and share from snapshot
