Mark Sproson Country Manager for UK and Ireland, Scale Computing

Held sales and partnership roles at Nexsan, Quantum and CA.

Scale Computing, Inc. appointed Mark Sproson as country manager for UK and Ireland.

He will be responsible for identifying new business, boosting sales, and continuing to grow the company’s channel business through both new and existing partnerships.

He will be joining the growing team in EMEA, and reporting to Johan Pellicaan, VP and MD for EMEA.

Prior to joining Scale Computing, Sproson held sales and partnership roles at Nexsan, Quantum Storage and CA Technologies. He has a background in working with both technology vendors and the channel, bringing over 15 years of IT experience. Throughout his career, he has worked to help grow the bottom line of several companies, by working on a number of collaborative and strategic partnerships within the channel.

The appointment of Sproson comes after Scale Computing announced a number of milestone achievements, including a funding round of over $34 million and a global partnership with Lenovo.

Scale Computing is looking to continue its momentum by bringing intelligent edge computing to partners, retailers, distributed enterprises, and SMBs.

The company also recently revamped its channel partner programme, making its technology more accessible to MSPs through a new subscription-based OpEx model.

Sproson commented: “Awareness and the benefits of hyperconvergence have really picked up in the past few years, and we are seeing many businesses proactively look for this technology. Scale Computing has a great product, that offers much needed scalability, HA, and ease of use. I’m looking forward to working with the team, this is an exciting time to join the company, as it looks to continue to grow its presence across EMEA.”

Pellicaan added: “Mark brings a wealth of skills and experience, and we are delighted he is joining the team. His appointment is in line with our continued momentum in the edge computing and hyperconverged space, and he’ll  play an integral role in helping us to shape our future, both for customers and channel partners.”
