Key prerequisites
Spectrum Archive EE V1.3 requires:
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) version 7.4 or 7.5
- Spectrum Scale version 4.2.3.6 or 5.0.2.x
- IBM TS4300, TS4500, TS3500, or TS3310 tape library
Server with x86_64 or POWER Little Endian architecture
Supported tape drives and media types
Spectrum Archive EE supports mixed environments, and any combination of these drive types can be used in an Spectrum Archive EE environment and the supported IBM media respectively:
- IBM LTO Ultrium Gen 8
- LTO Ultrium Gen 7
- LTO Ultrium Gen 6
- LTO Ultrium Gen 5
- TS1140, TS1150, TS1155, and TS1160 tape drives (only FC version)
Spectrum Archive LE V2.4.1 requires:
- IBM TS4300, TS4500, TS3500, TS3310, TS3200, TS3100, or TS2900 tape library
- Server with x86_64 or POWER Little Endian architecture
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) from version 7.2 to 7.5 (requires 7.3, or later for POWER Little Endian)
- Server with x86_64 architecture: Windows Server 2012 R2 or Windows Server 2016

- December 7, 2018: Spectrum Archive Library Edition (5639-LT1) (electronic download)
- December 14, 2018: Spectrum Archive Enterprise Edition (for Passport Advantage) (5725-X69)
- December 21, 2018: Spectrum Archive Enterprise Edition (5639-LP1) and Spectrum Archive Library Edition (5639-LT1) (physical media)
