Start-Up Nebulon in Stealth Mode Co-Founded by David Scott, Former CEO of 3par

Nebulon, Inc. (no Web site up to now) is a start-up in stealth mode trying to redefine storage for hybrid IT. The company is developing and providing a new approach called cloud-defined storage but we didn’t get more about its business.

It was co-founded in 2018 by executive chairman David Scott, former CEO of 3PAR, back into a storage industry, who was running HPE storage business until 2015, together with Siamak Nazari, Sean Etaati and Craig Nunes.

All four co-founders were early employees at 3PAR and led the company to a $2.4 billion acquisition in 2010 by HP, and consist of people from Google, DeepLearning.ai, Stanford University, Datrium and HPE/3PAR.

The company is headquartered in Los Altos, CA, with offices in Fremont, CA and on the Peninsula.

David Scott is a board director at OverOps, Token, Nebulon, Couchbase and AntemetA, and previously served on the board of Veritas, and for AppDynamics until its acquisition by Cisco Systems. He is also currently on the board of trustees for Castelleja School.

According to Wikipedia, Nebulos is a planet in the fictional Transformers universes sometimes known as Nebulon.
