The FabricXpress WSSD is an all-flash hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI) appliance based on Windows Server 2016 and 2019.

According to the company, the FX-WSSD is designed to ‘scale in’ with NVMe over PCIe that will enhance the virtual workload CPU performance improvements in Windows Server 2019.

This HCI allows users to upgrade compute, storage, memory, and network bandwidth separately to enhance cost effectiveness while adding simplicity.

Furthering that message is that the edge-computing appliance is built on HCI standards and tenant isolation services to deployment, provisioning and security of on-premises multi-tenant clouds. The FX-WSSD was built around x86 standard hardware and is validated to Microsoft Corp. WSSD reference architecture to provide higher performance and capacity in a cost-effective manner.

The company showcased its HCI FX-WSSD at the Microsoft Ignite conference in Orlando, FL.

The FabricXpress WSSD is available starting in a 4U, four node footprint.
