Cobalt Iron: ADP 4.1 With Multicloud, Analytics-Driven Data Protection Via SaaS Platform

Cobalt Iron Inc. announces the 4.1 release of its Adaptive Data Protection (ADP) platform, which provides software-defined, enterprise data protection, automation, management, and predictive event remediation, regardless of workload or infrastructure.

ADP 4.1, the seventh and most significant release to date, features support for all enterprise operating environments, including VMware, Hyper-V; physical environments such as Linux, iSeries, and Windows; and IBM Cloud, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Alibaba Cloud, Google Cloud Platform, and Microsoft Azure.

For applications, ADP 4.1 provides simplification and automation of SAP HANA, DB2, MS SQL, and Oracle backup and restore.

According to polling results from Gartner Inc.’s Data Center Infrastructure and Operations Management Summit, 32% of IT leaders reported that developing a private/public/hybrid cloud strategy is the largest data center challenge they face.

ADP 4.1 provides a single, unified provisioning, policy management, and reporting user experience to deliver data protection from 1TB to more than 100PB with on-premises, hybrid, or public cloud infrastructure. In addition, it eliminates the daily complexity of managing multiple backup applications running on a variety of server and storage resources. Finally, it provides data protection flexibility and agility so that companies can escape the legacy infrastructure complexity and unharnessed cost explosion.
