Nakivo Backup & Replication V8 Software

Nakivo, Inc. announced the availability of Backup & Replication v8.

This version introduces the ‘Site Recovery’ feature, which can help customers achieve BC and 24/7 availability of IT services.

Backup & Replication v8 provides:

Site Recovery workflows: v8 lets users build tailored recovery workflows to automate and simplify the entire site recovery process. For example, a Site Recovery job can include any combination of the following steps: shut down source VMs, run a final VM replication, change replica VM IPs, connect replica VMs to appropriate networks, set the replica VM boot order, verify recovery, send email notifications, etc.
Non-disruptive site recovery testing: The Site Recovery feature enables customers to define RTOs for recovery workflows and perform scheduled non-disruptive site recovery testing. The tests can verify whether site recovery can run successfully and whether the recovery process can be completed within the target time frame.
One click site recovery: With Backup & Replication, customers can perform planned failover, emergency failover, failback, and datacenter migration in a click. Customers can create a single recovery workflow for an entire organization or create multiple workflows for individual departments, branch offices, etc.
All-in-one availability solution: Site Recovery is an integral feature of Backup & Replication and does not require separate licensing. With v8, customers can use one solution for backup, deduplication, granular restore, replication, and site recovery. All aspects of data protection and recovery can be managed from a single pane of glass and are covered by a single license.
Pricing: Until now, the cost of robust site recovery functionality has been prohibitive for most SMBs and even enterprises, with some solutions charging over $10,000 for just 25 VMs. With the release of v8, Backup & Replication can reduce the cost of data protection and site recovery. The Site Recovery feature is included in the Enterprise edition of v8, which starts at $299 per socket and has no feature or capacity limitations.
