The company also announced sampling availability of its Switchtec Gen 4 PCIe switches, enabling customers to build next-generation high performance, low latency interconnect solutions in growth markets including machine learning, data center servers and storage equipment.

The firm announces also the availability of low latency, low power, reliability of Switchtec Gen 4 PCIe switches enable customers to build next-generation performance, low latency interconnect solutions in high growth markets including machine learning, data center servers and storage equipment. This generation of PCIe switches, which offer density and reliability as well as low power, provide customers a quick time to market solution with field-proven Switchtec firmware and a chip architecture enabling significant re-use of customers’ investments in Switchtec management software, drivers, firmware and system design.

The Switchtec Gen 4 PCIe switches are GPU-optimized with low pin-to-pin latency and low latency variation for optimal machine learning workload performance. Other features include up to 100 line-rate capable PCIe lanes as well as an integrated high-performance cut-through direct memory access (DMA) engine. Reliability features include hot- and surprise-plug support, end-to-end data integrity and best-in-class debugging with the ChipLink diagnostics tool.

The Flashtec NVMe 3016 controller addresses market demand for reliability, performance PCIe Gen 4 NVMe SSDs and is capable of delivering greater than 8GB/s throughput and more than two million IO/s.

This device provides end-to-end enterprise data integrity with reliability and strong RAID and ECC to support next-generation triple level-cell (TLC) and quad level-cell (QLC) NAND technologies targeted at the high growth storage end point markets, such as data center, server and storage. Its flexibility and programmability provide users the opportunity to uniquely optimize their own SSD solutions for a variety of applications including NVMe, Key Value and Open Channel SSDs, while its programmable flash channel controller interface enables customers to future-proof for multiple generations of NAND technologies.
