Memray and Yonsei University UIF Assigned Patent
Memory controller, and memory module and processor
By Francis Pelletier | August 7, 2018 at 2:31 pmMemray Corporation, Seoul, Korea, and Yonsei University, University Industry Foundation, UIF, Seoul, Korea, has been assigned a patent (10,031,676) developed by Lee, Jaesoo, Jung, Myoungsoo, and Park, Gyuyoung, Incheon, Korea, for a “memory controller, and memory module and processor including the same.“
The abstract of the patent published by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office states: “In a memory controller, a request handler processes a write request which is issued from a CPU and requests data write to a memory device using a phase change memory, and a request queue stores the write request. A scheduler returns a completion on the write request to the CPU when a predetermined write time has elapsed. The predetermined write time is shorter than a write latency time that is taken to complete the data write to a memory cell of the memory device in response to the write request.”
The patent application was filed on July 13, 2016 (15/208,903).
