Availability of Promise Atlas S8+ 8-Bay Desktop Storage Appliance

Promise Technology Inc. announced the availability of the Atlas S8+, an 8-bay desktop appliance that combines enterprise features with a simple interface.

The Atlas S8+ is for creative professionals and small groups involved with hi-res video editing and production workflows who don’t want to sacrifice performance for affordability, with ease of setup, speed and features.

The Atlas S8+ features a fast processor, fast interface, multiple capacity options and a simple GUI, making it to store, access, share and backup rich media content or large databases. Optional cards allow Thunderbolt 3 or 10G connectivity based on the ecosystem with iSCSI support for Windows/Linux.

A range of enterprise features deliver full flexibility and control of managing and protecting content for shared storage, including:

• Choice of high speed Thunderbolt 3 or 10G interfaces

• Eight 7,200rpm SATA HDDs in a compact desktop system delivers up to 112TB

• Optional SSD module for caching

• Enterprise NAS OS and advanced data protection

• Virtualization Ready-VMware, Citrix and Hyper-V certified
