Shmuel Shottan has been promoted last April SVP engineering, storage and converged, Hitachi Vantara, from SVP, technology and architecture.

He formerly was at HDS with the position of SVP, product operations and technology (SVP of engineering) for around 7 years after a long career in storage working or board member successively at Meridian Data, StoreAge, Voltaire (acquired by Mellanox), Quantum, Quantum Technology Ventures, Quantum Snap Division, Exanet (acquired by Dell), Attune Networks (acquired by F5), ioSafe, BlueArc (acquired by HDS) and Overland (acquired by Sphere 3D).
