onQ5.0 is the latest release from Quorum that helps customers cut their DR time from hours to minutes. Other highlights in onQ 5.0 are a Direct2Cloud (D2C) architecture and integrated archiving.
New in the onQ 5.0 platform:
- A storage architecture that is 40% more efficient and lowers hardware cost
- SuperMicro hardware options giving customers the ability customize their configurations
- Direct2Cloud architecture (D2C) allows HA directly from the Quorum private cloud
- Integrated archiving
- Browser based management console optimized for large environments and MSPs
The features Quorum onQ 5.0 are aimed to address clear customer and partner demand to offer direct cloud backup and recovery, as well as for increased performance and scalability.
“This release is significant in that it allows customers to combine local and remote appliances with private cloud backup and recovery: we call this flexibility ‘HA Anywhere,’” said Simon Pearce, CEO, Quorum, “We are focused on being the fastest recovery solution in the market by offering one-click recovery to any combination of infrastructure. This is an underserved market; customers are trying to get to the cloud, but don’t want to sacrifice security or performance. With Quorum ‘HA Anywhere,’ you get both.“
“A product that can cut recovery time from hours to minutes, and has a secure, high performance cloud service is ideal for most customers,” said Martin McCann, CIO, TechStar. “The Direct2Cloud feature is a real differentiator in this highly competitive and mature marketplace.“
