Brandon Global IT Opts for Viatel Ireland

Viatel Ireland Limited announced that its enterprise cloud storage-as-a-Service has been deployed by Brandon Global IT.

Brandon needed fast, secure and good value storage.

Tom O’Neill, CEO of Brandon, explains: “We didn’t want to build a platform ourselves – after all we’re a services company. Instead, we were looking for a platform that we could wrap our services around to create a solution. The Viatel solution has hit the mark for us in terms of performance, security and value for money.”

Viatel’s storage cloud enabled Brandon with a solution that could sit directly on top of their services without having to change what services they offer their customers and the technologies that they use. To mitigate against various types of failure, the DR solution consisted of multiple level of backups using Veeam Software, Inc. that provides onsite and offsite data replication for their customers – giving them peace of mind at all times that their data will not only be backed up but also stored in Ireland.

“Moving to the Viatel Storage Cloud was extremely fast and seamless – we had to change nothing – knowing we can increase our storage capacities as our business continues to grow is a real benefit,” O’Neill said.

Brandon intend to migrate all of their customers onto the Viatel platform and expand the range of services that they can deliver as they utilize the platform in many ways.
