“Concerns about governing sensitive data are hindering organizations from moving more workloads to the cloud,” said Snowflake’s director of technology alliances, Tarik Dwiek. “Integrating DgSecure with Snowflake provides a seamless end-to-end solution, protecting sensitive data and satisfying compliance and governance requirements. We’re thrilled to be launching our partnership with Dataguise and expect this capability to safely and securely enable organizations to become data-driven.“
DgSecure is deployed by 2,000 organizations with multi-petabyte data repositories concerned with data privacy compliance – particularly consumer privacy. It simplifies data privacy and regulatory compliance with an out-of-the-box solution that is administrator-friendly and eliminates the need to program – saving time, resources, compliance costs, and complexity. The solution allows for the identification of all personal and sensitive data, including names, identification numbers, location data, online identifiers or factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural, or social identity of a natural person using a combination of machine learning and behavioral analytics.
With Dataguise, enterprises gain access to a solution that can be used for private, safe, responsible, and compliant data analytics that meet and exceed GDPR requirements. The GDPR compliance-enablement features of DgSecure support organizational requirements to detect and document the location and status of all European customer data. The solution helps businesses to inform individuals of personal data held about them (right to be informed) and supports pseudonymization (masking), encryption, or deletion (right of erasure). Additionally, it provides data breach reporting when security lapses occur – which are mandatory and must be issued within 72 hours of the breach.
“Compliance with privacy laws continue to be a significant global concern, particularly in light of the GDPR regulation taking effect a few days ago,” said JT Sison, VP, WW business development and marketing. “With the integration of Dataguise and Snowflake technology, joint customers will have full assurance that their data is protected in an easy-to-deploy, programming-free format that involves minimal time to install and manage, and scales to multiple petabyte production environments making it the fastest way to meet security and compliance requirements.“
