This growth highlights the expanding demand for scale-out storage solutions across EMEA.
New Global 2000 customers include an online travel market leader, a top-three pharmaceutical company, a multi-billion-dollar roofing manufacturer, a top-three car manufacturer, a leader in IT insurance services, a top-five European bank, and one of the largest global engineering firms. Three of these initial purchases exceeded $1 million in value, demonstrating the growing scale of object storage opportunities.
EMEA partner network also expanded, with reseller partner additions including Komposite in France, European Electronique in the UK, PQR B.V. in the Netherlands, Akquinet AG in Germany, and Intertec Systems in the Middle East.
“In France, IT managers urgently need new storage solutions to meet their growing demand for capacity and cloud integration as they adopt technologies like hybrid cloud, machine learning, and big data analytics,” said Harry Zarrouk, GM, Komposite. “Cloudian delivers the combination of scalability, simplicity, and cloud compatibility that our customers need to innovate, increase efficiency, and derive more value from their company’s data, and we are delighted to be working with Cloudian in this market.”

Sales support also grew with the addition of multiple business development representatives and channel development staff in Amsterdam.
During the period, Cloudian also acquired Milan, Italy-based Infinity Storage, in software-defined file storage, and has since doubled the engineering staff at that location.
