Super Deluxe Chooses OpenDrives
For media workflow acceleration
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on May 17, 2018 at 1:57 pmOpenDrives, LLC has been selected as the storage solutions provider for omni-platform entertainment company Super Deluxe, LLC.
OpenDrives enables Super Deluxe to produce content faster through an accelerated workflow solution via shared NAS.
Super Deluxe is a disruptive entertainment brand dedicated to cultivating diverse auteurs and amplifying unconventional voices across multiple platforms from television to social media to live interactive programming. The company, which is a division of Turner, has been described by the Los Angeles Times as shaping the future of television and selected by Fast Company as one of the Top Ten Most Innovative Companies in Hollywood.
In order to simultaneously accommodate sophisticated video and television post-production workflows on a quick turnaround, Super Deluxe needed a storage solution that facilitates speed and dexterity. Super Deluxe transformed their media workflow to a fully integrated shared environment by implementing OpenDrives’ transformative NAS systems, resulting in faster video production workflows. This allows Super Deluxe to focus on its core business of content creation while eliminating IT bottlenecks.
Super Deluxe needs to serve proliferating media in a high-growth scenario and the company was especially challenged considering their audience’s ability to deliver near real-time feedback and interaction via social media. Its prior storage solutions were not up to par, with regard to neither capacity nor speed/performance. OpenDrives implemented its Summit production storage solution with Ridgeview backup, which allows the team at Super Deluxe to collaborate simultaneously on very large media files, a reality that was not possible with the prior solution.
“Media production teams see IT bottlenecks within their workflow typically at the storage layer in their infrastructure and OpenDrives can remove these bottlenecks enabling teams to collaborate in real-time. We build products that are inherently focused on performance for high resolution media workflows,” said Chad Knowles, CEO, OpenDrives. “Workflow performance and superior customer support are what make our customers return to OpenDrives again and again.“
