Computex: Asustor Exhibiting New NAS Models and App

Asustor Inc. will be exhibiting it newe models of NAS at Computex 2018, Taipei, Taiwan, June 5 to 9, 2018.

The firm will also be introducing an 10GbE entry level NAS, the AS40 series. The company is also updating existing product lines to V2 such as the AS10 v2, AS31 v2, and AS32 v2 series. Professional NAS, AS63 series, AS64 series and other series required for SMEs will also be exhibited.

The AS40 series is a NAS with Marvell Technology Group Ltd‘ Armada Cortex-A72 processor and contains 2GB of DDR4-2400 memory. It comes with a 10GbE RJ45 port and GbE ports to make integrating into new and existing networks easy. It prioritizes speed no matter what kind of network equipment is used. Whether 10GbE equipment or Gb equipment is used, speeds can be either 10x faster or 3x faster with network aggregation. The AS40 series also features HDD removal by offering hot-swappable bays to increase convenience. Hot swappable bays enable our users to replace drives without tedious disassembly of the unit, a feature requested for a consumer NAS.

The company will also be showcasing the latest release of ADM NAS OS. Version 3.2 highlights include a web remote connection feature named EZconnect.to. Remote connection to the NAS only needs a dedicated Cloud ID and a web browser. Typing your ‘Cloud ID’ followed by a full stop and ezconnect.to to remotely connect to your NAS. Manual configuration of a router is not needed to connect remotely. As long as you have internet access, EZconnect.to makes accessing the NAS anytime, anywhere convenient.

EZ Sync is a desktop app to help manage NAS. This app synchronizes data between the computer and the company’s NAS remotely. Synchronization with EZ Sync for Windows can be done either two-way or one-way. There is no need to worry about unintentionally modifying the wrong files because it contains a file history feature, allowing the user to restore files to a previous version. Photo Gallery has a timeline feature allowing smart albums based on location to be created. AiFoto 3.0 adds support for DLNA streaming applications, and can transfer content from AiFoto to high-definition TVs from mobile phones.

Also in ADM 3.2, the firm will be the first-to-market to support IHM’s health management updates. Users are able to get detailed analyses along with graphical charts and notifications on the status of their Ironwolf HDD warranty.

In order to meet the needs of the modern enterprise, the company and ASUSTeK Computer, Inc. have completed the technical integration of Control Center IT management software. Users can manage the firm’s NAS devices as well as ASUS-branded servers, workstations, commercial products, and other devices on the same domain in Control Center to increase IT management efficiency.
