ChronoSync Offers Connections to Backblaze B2 Cloud Storage

ChronoSync software from Econ Technologies, Inc. for Mac backup, bootable backup and folder synchronization, offers direct connections to the Backblaze’s B2 Cloud Storage.

So, in addition to Amazon S3, Google Cloud, and SFTP-based services, ChronoSync owners can use the Backblaze B2 Cloud Storage service as another option for cloud backup.

Duilio Proni, president, Econ, said: “We wanted to make our B2 support robust and flexible. We make sure ChronoSync fully preserves all file attributes and metadata, including resource forks! Since ChronoSync is placing files up in B2 in a non-proprietary format, files can be accessed by any B2 Cloud Storage client.“

Besides cloud service support, ChronoSync 4.8.6 sports additional backup efficiency, a new dock menu for quick access to frequently used windows and numerous tweaks along with a few bug fixes. The macOS 10.13.4 update changed the way APFS volumes are initialized and mounted, resulting in additional tweaks to the ChronoSync bootable backup logic to continue company’s APFS support.
